Sjøparken is a new small village located on the 250-acre site of the old Agnes factories, which for 150 years produced matches, chipboard, and roofing tiles. Here, new homes with unique architecture are being developed by the sea, surrounded by lush forests, rocky outcrops, and beaches. The old, venerable factory buildings are being repurposed for culture, business, and dining. You can rent an office in Sjøparken Vekst, and children can attend a kindergarten with its own forest and beach. There are also a wealth of leisure activities; diving club, yoga & pilates, bouldering center, and Taekwondo. At Agnes Square, you will find the Nerdrum Museum and Café Havfuglen. Art in Sjøparken is housed in the workers’ homes right by Agnes Square. This is a district for quality of life – across generations.
The site has a 1.5-kilometer-long shoreline and will, upon completion, constitute a health-promoting district with a minimum of 600 varied homes. The area is also currently planned for 80,000 sqm of business. In Sjøparken Stavern, we will incorporate knowledge about what is health-promoting and preventive for those who will live and work here right from the drawing board. By making conscious choices at an early stage and planning the design of homes and outdoor areas based on knowledge of what is health-promoting and preventive, we will be able to contribute to increased quality of life for everyone who chooses to live and stay in Sjøparken Stavern.
The project is being developed through Agnes Utvikling AS, a jointly owned company between Grendahl Holding and Linstow.
